extended warranty and suspension steering |
|
I recently spoke with Landrover customer services about some of the issues I had had - the usual brakes, suspension failure x 2 etc. I asked as a measures of their good faith that the cars problems had been sorted out that they gave me an extended warranty free when the current one runs out in Nov 2007. I was refused an extended warranty which I thought was cowardly. I have had the latest tech updates and now I get the feeling that the suspension is softer than before !! Also my steering has recently got heavier and it pulls just slightly to the left when I brake. Is there an issue re steering being out of alignment in the new builds. It has only done 15k so far and I seem to be slower in getting the performance issues coming through than others who had done more mileage.

Not sure why LR would give an extended warranty if the faults had been repaired... and I'm not sure any other manufacturer would do. The repair would carry a warranty in its own right too which would go past the vehicles warranty should the latter run out before the repairs cover.
Most people have complained about harder suspension post enhancement... so this is new.
If your steering is heavier have the dealer check the fluid levels etc.
As for the pulling to the left, again have the dealer check things out, your brakes may be wearing unevenly.
