There are three possibilities above normal road height ...off-road...extended ...super extended
As Gareth has mentioned once it has put itself into extended due to an obstacle, the only way it will go into super extended is if you put your foot on the brake and press the suspension lever up until it bongs 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I gave this a go with no joy fokes.
I put my foot on the brake and held the suspension button up but no bong or change in height compared to Offroad height.
This was on level ground, any ideas?

The Disco has to put itself into extended mode first. Try putting something like a log under the chassis rail, lower it onto it and it'll go into extended mode. Then the brake-pedal / lever thing should get it up into super-extended.

paul that trick dont work on mine either it needs the chassis to ground out on a bump or stand as others have described Don’t worry it is supposed to sound like that...honest

Use the LR jack. Put the car in offroad height. Place the jack under the front jack point and wind it up (by hand should be sufficient) until the jack is firmly against the chassis. Get in the car (doors shut!) and press lower once. The car will attempt to lower and should then complain about an "obstacle" and raise to extended. This may take a fair few seconds to complete.
Make sure your foot is NOT on the brake whilst this is happening.
THEN, press the brake pedal, and HOLD the raise switch for a few seconds until the car bongs. It will then raise to emergency (or super-extended) height.
Don't forget to remove the jack before driving off

Super Extended mode effectively locks the suspension, giving a very hard ride. it also puts a significant load on the axle/wheel hub and should only be used for the minimum time necessary to clear an obstacle.

Which is why it's limited - max 8kph or around 45s of continuous travel and it will then lower to off-road height.

Surprised Wiggs or someone with the programming software has not added an electronically controlled method of changing into the 2 additional heights?
What is it the book states the height mode should be for changing wheels?

Book states it should be in 'Offroad height' prior to jacking.
Also states leave tailgate open to prevent it automatically going into extended mode
