Just had my renewal through from Direct Line, been with them for years, no claims or convictions so they put my premium up 30%!
Been on both the big comparison sites and Chaucer Direct have come back cheapest by far on both sites, maybe worth having a look at them for anyone renewing.

They are by a clear margin the cheapest on the comparison sites. I've just had a sub-£400 quote from them.

I got an online quote from CD yesterday. It was £150 higher than the most competitive quote so far which is from LV.
Strange world the car insurance business. For my wifes Saab, LV were way more expensive than Aviva, who were the most competitve. So I get a quote from Aviva and its £250 more than LV.
