No it is still an 06 MY car as it has already been built, not too fussed but it will be coming with the skinny 17" rims fitted, I will probably keep these and fit some Cooper STT's but want a bigger, smarter set of road wheels.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

For road use, the 19"s with Pirelli Scorpion tyres are really impressive. Way better handling & steering feel than I would have imagined possible .
I haven't noticed them being any less comfortable or noisy than the 17"s or 18"s either.

Sorry I forgot
I think that the 19" wheels from the 2006 FFRR will fit correctly, could be easier to source than 19"s from a D3.

Below are the 19" FFRR rims on my wife's D3 S. They fit perfectly & look really nice, was told they must be 2006 FFRR rims to fit. Also they are the bottom of the food chain for FFRR wheels so should be more available as owners trade up. Got mine with MTR tyres from nene4x4, they would no doubt sell them with road tyres.

there are alot of 19" RR sport wheels on ebay - I am told these will fit a D3 with new wheel nuts but the tyre size is slightley small - is this a problem? They are going on ebay for £500 to £600 a set with tyres so are cheap enough. Has anyone done this?

Range Rover Sport wheels are a direct fit for the D3 ...including nuts. What you will find however is that they are 9" wide compared to 8" on the D3. It is a tight fit with road tyres and impossible with MTR's without rubbing.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
