One was to give you option of any major roads around country distance and traffic on them, one to change traffic map on your route plus one other which i can't remember what did.If you were out and about ythe icon should of shown up either it's faulty as your model next one up to mine i assume it should be there.Best check where you bought it from regarding is it faulty or not?...But i'm sure you can get the model with or without traffic.

Well been out and about today and guess what? The traffic icon showed!! Only for part of the journey Rolling Eyes I looked if it had activated in the menu but it still said it hadn't activated, until it receives a signal from traffic and sats at the same time. Must be too hilly around here where I live. Will have another faff with the aerial this weekend.

On the garmin 1490tv there is a line input. I have brought the cable from the rear to the satnav and connected it and it works. Its not 100%, but you can see whats what and where you are reversing, I think I need a better cable to keep signal better on it's travels from the back to the front. I'm waiting for a right angled connector to fit in the line input as there is not room for a straight connector. BUT at the moment when the camera is connected and you go to the TV it just shows the rear camera, I don't know if I am doing something wrong or missed a setting, but i am thinking of rewiring the cable some how so when reverse is selected it sends the signal to the satnav, and when it isn't in reverse it will allow the TV to show and not rear camera!

The camera I'm using at the rear is a BlackVue, It has a line out and connected using a normal 3.5mm jack to the front. But I've still got to fit the right angled 3.5mm jack to the side of the satnav as there is not enough room to put a straight 3.5mm jack in the side of the satnav.

Fat bloke, luckily doesn't do TV shopping but does enough looking and then buys in the shops themselves. So while shes on a long shopping trip, I can watch a bit of TV myself. Only thing is, it will be me running the battery flat as she will take ages.

This is the jack I'm going to use, got to fit it yet,

I must admit when I did try it out, it didn't feel a snug fit when in the line input, and when it was showing a picture I couldn't find out a way to show the TV. ie, when you press TV on the screen it will either show TV or rear camera, no button option to see the TV or rear camera.

Oh and I got it of fleabay, from Nelson/Colne I think
