Is it just me, or is the fridge between the front seats next to useless??
It's too small to take very much useful; it can't actually cool anything from ambient temperature though it will keep a can or two cool if you take them out of your home fridge; in fact it's like a tiny glorified cooler bag!!
Anyone actually found it useful? My 4 yr old son likes the blue telltale light on the switch though!!

I completely agree.
It should also be large enough to take bottles of water. Matt

I find it very useful, I foud if you fill it up and put a carrier bag to fill the gaps it cools alot better.
4 packs of red bull fit in lovley so do 500ml water tho you need to turn over the tray thing to make a better seal.

Keeps the wine gums nice but don't try Double Deckers, wife almost broke her jaw when biting one!

I'm happy with it... if it was any taller (can't make it deeper 'cos of the stuff underneath) then it would be too high to use as an elbow rest - for those without the full-blown armrests

Personally I agree....the fridge is too small......... and I must say that the centre island breakfast bar could be a tad larger too.
Having said all that I managed to get my two seater sofa in the rear lounge area without much trouble.......well done LR

I think it does it's job quite well. It's only intended as a cooler after all.
A sofa DG! I fitted two toilets and a dishwasher in the back of mine! Have a nice day!

As I have the phone cradle, thus not being able to turn the lid upside down, I find the fridge/cool box next to useless. I don't like Red Bull etc. & all the water bottles I've tried are too small.
I mainly use it for storing cd's, certainly wouldn't miss it.

Had 5 nice big juicy 10oz Filet Steaks in there for a few hours between picking them up at the butchers and getting them home. My Tournedos Rossini was a real 'hit' with the guests that night so I suppose the cubby box cooler has other uses beyond red bull.....
I must admit that I don't usually use it much and anything left in there can get rather warm if the unit isn't switched on. It can certainly keep a double decker cold but if it is switched off on a hot day then that quickly becomes a single decker of 'mush'
Must point out that the box can certainly cool itself down quickly after it is switched on.

It has kept a few ice creams cold 'till I got them home, but not much use to me for anything else. I'd rather have the space for storing CDs. I certainly wouldn't specify it as an extra but it came as part of the SE spec.

On a Vauxhall Vivaro van I once had, it had a simple hole in the back of the glove box, which was connected to the air conditioning. The hole had a sliding plastic cover, to open or shut it. The whole glove box became a cool box and it was extremely effective and got very cold. This would of been a much easier and cheaper solution and would allow more storage room. Matt
