Suspension fault ...... again ! |
|
Hi,
Is there anyone that has the details for the service bulletin Q4504-2a Air suspension connector or is this called a TSB ? I have a TDV6 HSE '05 and it has been in and out the shop for different warnings : Transmission fault, suspension fault, low coolant .
They have updated software twice but suspension fault is back again, especially when the car it's wet ? Any tips or ideas ?
Thanks Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE '05

Steff, there are a number of postings on the suspension problem - search will pick them up. I understand (from dealer) that LR had a faulty batch of compressors, which they were changing as faults occurred. That was too costly, so now they change a 4-way valve. As for coolant, I had to have a new "float assembly" as the original was faulty. Both the above have been "mechanical fixes"", rather than through software upgrade. So far, both have been OK. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Barn1e,
The coolant warning is a separate TSB and requires replacement of the overflow reservoir.
Someone will be along to post the TSB for the suspension warning.
The Transmission Fault sometimes comes on if the battery is a bit low. Have a nice day!

There is no one TSB to come along with I'm afraid.
Needless to say the dealer will have access to all of them and 'should' know what they are doing. This sounds like water ingress and is easily fixable by the dealer.
Also the recent enhancement program upgrades compressors should they need it - either valve or complete unit depending on part number fitted.

book it in for the enhancement while your there and that will update you to the latest. My dealer does a sw upgrade each time I visit - but they are good to me.

Deffo sounds like a connector issue, one is dealt with by the A034-036 service action, the other is referenced in TSB LA201-001v2 - Air suspension connector water ingress...

well...... got the car back and was told that all the faults was because of a software failure ! I have been driving it for a week now and everything is fine so far .....? Am I lucky or is it just a matter of a few months before the faults will pop up again in the display ? Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE '05

Steff, glad you're sorted the Quarantine number you referenced above doesn't seem to exist, so either the dealer gave you the wrong number (doubtful, there are no Q-notices referring to suspension components) or it's bulls*it
I'm not aware of any software issues that are caused by water ingress.... still, if it's sorted, who cares eh?
