depends on what your passenger is doing with their legs and no I don't think it does.

I have a second fire extinguisher, that isn't fitted. I will have a go at fitting it at the front of the seat this afternoon. At least this is more easily accessible in an emergency and two on board is better than one.
Thanks for the pics Ferrett. Is there any nack to getting the front plastic panel off, or do you just pull really hard? I tried once and gave up.
Just pull really hard, I spent ages trying different ways to remove it but in the end just pulling works. I had to pull so hard I thought it was going to break.2012 D4 - SDV6 XS - Firenze Red

Mrs Ferrett was'nt to impressed when I had fitted it, she thought it would be in the way - but we have done over a 1000 miles with it fitted and she seems to have got used to it.
I did rotate the extinguisher it its cradle so that the nozel is pointing up and not forwards - this gives another 20-25mm of room.2012 D4 - SDV6 XS - Firenze Red

I had a go at fitting my 2nd fire extinguisher today. (VA, this is same as yours, when I got them for our RRS a year ago)
I took off the front cover, but the framework underneath wasn't suitable to mount my fire extinguisher frame directly to it. I need to make up a metal plate or bar, to bridge the gap.
So for now, I simply fixed it to the plastic cover instead. It works fine and although it does wobble slightly, it is secure enough and doesn't cause unnecessary stress on the plastic mounts.
I will make up a plate at sometime, as fixing it directly to the metalwork behind will move it back an inch or more.
