Not me but...
My Mum has just ordered a Discovery 4 HSE in Baltic Blue with Ebony leather and the following extras:
-Adaptive Xenons
-Tow Pack
-Full size Spare
-ipod connectivity lead
-Full rubber mat set
-Roof rail kit (full length)
-Body side mouldings (bright)
-Mudflaps
-Stainless tread plates
Think that's it! Test drove one today and placed the order immediately though delivery not till May. Really is a phenomenal bit of kit compared to our rather tired old TD5. I'm as excited as she is, hopefully I'll get a shot of it at some point!

Not the tinted rear glass - with the Balti it will ruin it (imo!)

Haha cheers for the suggestions but we really don't want tinted glass!
The one thing I would have added would be the heated steering wheel though apparently mudflaps are more important!
If anyone knows anything about whether the flaps are worth having or not please say as we still have a few days to change things if we want.
Thanks!

So the mudflaps aren't great off road? What about deep snow? Will they break do you think?
What are people's thoughts on the side protection strips? I can't decide if they will look good or not but at least they should save it from car parking dings.
I'll try and persuade her on the heated steering wheel!

I know the standard objection, buy a pair of £5 gloves, but if it's minus godknowswhat deg C and the steering wheel is at minus godknowswhat deg C and your hands are at not far above minus godknowswhat deg C then it takes ages to get the feeling back. Heated steering wheel does it in a couple of minutes and can be warmed up when you are deiceing the car.
The D3 mud flaps are a waste of time off road, too brittle, mine didn't last long at all Far better to get Discovery series 1 front, for the front and LR series 3 rear, for the rear.
As far as thr heated steering wheel is concerned I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Missed flaps on my D4 when I ordered(had them on D3) - well worth it to stop all the crap flying all over - had them fitted on D4 last week.
Couldnt comment on how they are Off Road, but look / feel sturdy

Okay thanks again for the replies, sounds like the standard flaps should be okay then. Just need to see about that heated steering wheel now!

Definitely keep your mud flaps and go for a heated steering wheel - I'm using it every journey this time of year and it's really good. I've never had the door rubbing strips and would also question need for enhanced roof rails. See your views on privacy glass but I've had factory fitted ones on my old silver D3 and new black D4 and feel they really make the car.
I bought a rubber boot mat off ebay years ago - not the LR product but a third of the price and has lasted very well.
All the best,
Carwyn

Just fitted the protection strips with bright insert to my black D4 which i picked up last week, IMHO they look pretty 8) and on my previous D3 i didnt have a single ding in a door! Side steps do help alot too though! so ordered mine yesterday from nick, great price and if they come early enough they will be fitted tomorrow!
