Naaa the seats in the 'S' are fine... not the best I agree. I Always suffer from relaxed driving effect each time I get out of the DISCO3.

Drivers seat is fine if you don't want to actually sit in it
I sat in one of the 3rd row seats 'tother day just to see what they're like, seemed more comfy than the drivers seat and there's no adjustments at all. Things really look different from back there The End

Simon, is your backside the shape of a sheeps backside, because a few of us think the 'S' drivers seats are c**p.
Slimer, you can't drive the D3 from the 3rd row though can you.

I must have a sheeps backside as well because I find my seats very comfortable especially over long journeys, maybe its something to do with height/length of leg relationship - yours obviously don't fit LR's Mr Average. 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

I am not sure Dom. On a serious note, I am about 6 foot about correct weight for my height and just find that for better vision, I like the seat high, especially when off normal roads. This in turn pushes me forward into the footwell, which places pressure on my ankles, hips and knees.
Another point is that when getting in and out, sometimes I catch the adjustment lever. Initially I though the mirrors were moving, or that I was shrinking. They are the same design as the old 1987 Granada's, aweful.
The seat when stationary is fine. I actually find the 110 ideal, but then I have lived in it for years and may have a mould for basics?

Thats interesting because I'm only 5ft 10 inches but don't have the seat cranked right up which does throw you forward, if anything my is tilted just ever so slightly back and I have the back rest tilted back too, it doesn't seem to restrict my vision. Mind you I find it uncomfortable if I am sitting too close to the steering wheel with arms bent too much. I suppose its a difficult to get right because there are ultimately so many variables. 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

Dom, you are right, but the rediculous thing is, I can sit in a 110 and drive for hundreds and hundreds of miles and never feel fatigued or uncomfortable. Thats is because my legs are almost at right angles in the 110, but with the D3, I find my knees are not supported and I am forever sliding forward, which puts pressure on my spine, knees and ankles.
I do like a high position when driving, but the D3 is lower than the D2 was.
The electric seats are fantastic, but simply too expensive for my line of work.

BN, have you come up with a solution yet, otherwise you're going to suffer - how about lowering the seat so it tilts back and then putting in a cushion to raise yourself to the desired driving position 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

Dom, I am actually getting a solution via Land Rover. They have already agreed to pay for the alterations or new seats, but I have spoken to Exmoor Trim and they can help in liaison with LR. Lets see how we get on with LR and Exmoor and I will keep you all posted.

Front PDC is an option in France on all versions...
Same in Australia
The dealer told me that the Front PDC's are a factory fit only since they are turned off and on based on the speed of the vehicle (and also the button)
When I test drove the Disco 3 with Front and Rear PDC's it was great to fit in spots where it would've been hard to park when being alone in the car.
But then again, the car infront or behind that don't have sensors are likely to do more damage than you parking.
So I didn't go for the front pdc's - got adaptive headlights instead 2009 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE

Bashir,
A wise choice... easier to see where the front is anyway... the rear PDC's are flipping useful though and great at worrying people behind when reversing as they think that your going to drive over them
And of course you can stop 'just in time'
