I have been given a 06 Range Rover V8 as a loaner whilst my engine is being replaced.
Thought I would share this bit of info regarding the DSC on both vehicles.
Having driven my D3 hard(on my little test track BTW) I have experienced the DSC taking control of the car on a number of occasions, when it takes over it really does take over. The car will completely change its stance on the road and it feels like you have just been walloped by a bag of oranges. Then when the car thinks its safe you are eventually given the controls back.
The RR however is completely different. If it was not for the little light on the dash you would hardly notice the car is over riding your input and when you get the controls back it’s a gradual feed back which is hardly noticed.
To summarise
D3:- “OI! YOU! NO!!!!!!!...... WAIT WAIT GO ON THEN?â€
RR:- “Oh hang on a moment sir I think I should adjust things a little for you.. There you go Sire, its all yours again thank you and god bless youâ€. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

well the extra 20 grand has to be for something other than a better quality of dead cow skin and some offcuts of a walnut tree
