Air suspension problem

Hi LR Experts,
I hope someone can help me. I have a 2005 HSE with 62.4k miles. Just about to sell it but the suspension fault light (yellow) has suddenly appeared. I tried to test the suspension by raising and lowering but now the car is stuck in the lowest position and will not move back up to normal. Has anyone had this problem and if so what did the repair involve and how much did it cost? I have read that the compressor can be the main cause or possibly the relay could have blown.

I've not had any major problems with this car in all the 3yrs of ownership apart from a few electrical issues such as the steering wheel buttons working intermittently.

Thanks

Is the compressor running? you should be able to hear it. Its in the plastic box in front of the left rear wheel.

Does the engine need to be running for it to work? I can't see the plastic box, is it on the drivers side or passenger side? I had a listen by both wheels with engine running but couldn't hear anything other than the engine/exhauts.

Just tried again but the system appears to be dead as cannot get noise or any movement.

Doesn't sound good TM. Try checking the state of the fusible link LR10 (see http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic53154.html?highlight=)...

Thanks to all. It sounds like worst case scenario its the compressor, best case its the relay. I thought I read somwhere the compressor is £345 plus labour. Anyone know?

Thanks

Compressor replacement at Land Rover Rennes last summer was north of €800... Sad
