Seatbelt problem

Just had the D3 back from some warranty work. 1 item being the drivers belt being slow to retract. The dealership agree with me that it is slow but they have to get LR to authorise the replacement. Something due to the fact it's part of the SRS system.
Not sure if it's going to be an issue but when it hasn't retracted properly and I've shut the door I now have some deep witness marks on the door card. The question I have is if they agree the belt is defective will they replace the doorcard as well? My thinking is the damage wouldn't of happened if the belt wasn't defective.
Anyone else have any experience of this issue

Seatbelts need prior approval for replacement as it could be a build up of fluff etc causing it to retract slowly. There are a few questions that LR ask. If the damage to the door card is mentioned at the same time then it should be replaced.

I put it for the belt slow to retract. Tonight when I picked it up they mentioned the damage to the door card. Here's hoping.

Priced up the extended warranty. it's 890 for 12 months cover. Tried to haggle on the price but they insisted that's a standard price with no room to move on the price.

Both my current D3 and the previous one suffered a bit with slow retracting seatbelts with the consequent damage to door cards and small dents in the B & C pillars.

On my first D3 the dealer fixed the door card damage but wouldn't do anything about the belts, said there was nothing wrong with them, just a little more care needed.

On the second D3, I've not bothered about it.

It appears to me that the retract spring is a little weak, if it was stronger it would pull the belt in faster, but on the downside there is the possibility of it becoming uncomfortable on a long trip, I've experienced this before with an older car some time ago.

Had a call from the GS yesterday, LR gave the go ahead to change the seatbelt. Plus it needs more work to the front suspension to cure the knocking. It started as a knock at low speed when going over potholes, anholes etc. THen it developed into a knock at hard braking at low speed. Needs new arms apparently.
All booked in for the 25 Jan. Wonder what car I'll get in return Normally a FL.
