Additional storage in the back of a D3 |
|
I am looking for secure drawer-type storage to fit under the dog-box in the rear loadspace of my D3. Has anyone any experience of using such things? I have tried the makers of the dog-box (Lintran) but they have yet to reply so I am considering alternatives - if I can find any.

I cant answer your question sorry, however, I had a similar set up in a defender, I did not let the dog jump in and out as it was too high and she was too old. But..the one time I tried doing something else at the same time the dog took it upon herself to jump and hurt herself. Devastated. What about doing the boot in a 50/50 or 60/40 stylee with a divider if you dont find what you are after.
Not preaching at all though, dont get me wrong mate Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
"What is the first rule when overlanding?"
I would Reply:
"Duratrac"

Very many thanks, plenty to chase-up. Interestingly none of the suggestions made had turned-up on any of the Google searches I had made. Just shows the value of the forum.
Dave - a very valid point, I have added a dog-ramp to the shopping list! Lifting wet & muddy spaniels has a very limited appeal and mine are used to jumping in and out of a Merc ML; somewhat lower than the Disco even on "access height".

Have a look in my gallery, my draws are lintran to go with the crate.
When I got these you can customise them to what you want, mine are all lockable and I just went for empty draws so I can put what ever I want in them.
