Does anyone else think it would be nice......

........if there was a larger "gear selection" display?

Obviously I have been focussing on this a bit recently since I have had what I understand is the prolific "dodgy link" issue with my auto box so have had an unhealthy interest in whetehr the car has jumped out of "Drive" into "Neutral".

But the size of the "D", "N", etc is tiny - same with the indication that youve moved into Sports mode. The indication of which gear you have manually selected is slightly better but isn't all this information rather more useful on a car like this than, for example, a rev counter?

Am I alone on this or has anyone else wondered? Rolling Eyes Buckingham Blue

Whoops, what I was trying to say was: "yes it is nice to haev a big rev counter but isn't that really more important when driving a sports car so in the context of the Disco's role how about sacrificing some rev counter size in order to have a bigger gearbox indicator"?

Of course it's not that long ago we used to have an "H" diagram on the top of gearknobs and that was it!

Surely the location of the big stick in your left hand is a fairly big indicator Laughing

What annoys me is moving the selector to the left, so putting into sports mode, then push up/down to put into command shift - I'd like to know what gear the car is in before 'manually' changing up/down. I've selected first because the car was in second, but I thought it was in third. Embarressing when the revs shoot up and the passenger(s) in the car think I cant even drive an auto!
