not alarmist, just realist
There's far more outside of your (or LR's) control than you realise - fuel being the biggest one, air density being the next biggest one
yep, fuel filter mis-connection is a factor but this is addressed by a separate TSB and in most cases, separate symptoms..
TBH, I am now at the point of thinking long and hard about posting such information, on one hand it's good to let other drivers know of potential resolutions to their niggles - on the other, it can generate 'hypochondriac' me-too's and waste dealers - and owners time looking for non existent defects, most of which are outside of LR's control, as in this case.
Whilst I have had a couple of issues myself, I would commend LR on their approach and openness in dealing with 'real world' usage and providing the dealers with the information to resolve such issues - certainly not something you would expect from the German, Austrian or Japanese manufacturers ("the product is fine - you must be using it incorrectly")

I agree its good they release some of the issues into the open, but dont believe thats the case for all issues. those that may incurr significant cost I doubt get released. e.g. tailgate struts?
as for you thinking I am jumping on the bandwagon and may be wasting dealers time ? try looking at my post here :
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic5423.html?highlight=
I have had the symptoms described by this bulletin since a few days following my service and update. I have subsequently experienced the cold idle art of the bulletin.
sharing of this info is for me the reason for a comunity such as this and what makes consumer forums like this so valuable. It would be a waste and I suspect much smaller community if such issues were not bought to light. Im sure thats not what anyone wants.
Knowing where and when the issues may arise is empowering owners and is only a good thing. 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

Do any other manufacturers operate an Owners Info website? (Like GTR) or are LR unique in this?

There is a TSB covering the repair should this problem occur and checking them is part of the VEP so that definitely got released The End

yes I am on verge of swapping dealers having given them reasonable chance to resolve issues, but only once rejection/replacement is resolved. 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver
