How do I remove dashboard knee cover/lid thing?
Hi all
You know the black cover (looks like a large glove box lid, has the bo**ock warming vent in the middle of it!)
... how do I remove it?
I've tried pulling it but am worried I'll break something
Reason? I've got an annoying squeak from my clutch pedal and want to squirt a bit of WD40 on it, but looking up at the pedals, they seem to dissappear into the space behind this cover ...
I don't want want to just wazz a load of WD into the space and hope for the best you see, I'll be living with the smell of WD40 for months!
Thanks all Paramedic, Father, Dog lover and Husband ... in no particular order!

It's hinged / hooked in at the bottom and clipped in at the top, you need to give it a tug towards you from the top edge.
Be prepared to have to go fishing for the little metal clips that invariably ping off though, a magnet on a stick may help here.
Edit; A tiny smear of grease or Vaseline on the spring clips make it a lot easier to get off the next time.
I'm not sure if you'll see much of the clutch from in there though Clive

Thanks! I appreciate that
Am I right in presuming this will expose the tops of the pedals?

One of the spring clips shot off when I removed mine, never to be seen again.
