"Low Washer Fluid" message |
|
Got a Low Washer Fluid message the other day.
Filled up when I got home.
Strangely it only took 2.5 ltr [ I thought the capacity was greater].
However later on the day after, I got the same message.
I thought I used quite a lot of fluid on my drive [from North Yorks to MK and back] as roads were filthy.
But when I came to top it up, it only took less than one pint!!
So now even though full, the message still appears.
What's going on there then?
...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

@Frapp
think you might find that post related to the coolant bottle not washer, but you are right in principal, probably another dodgy float!

Mines doing the same, fill it up and wait as mine leaks but no straight after filling
New washer bottle is cheap £20 but a sod to fit as you have to dismantle the front end. I'm
leaving mine till the weather warms up otherwise too many broken plastic clips when stripping
down.

If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.

Low level sensor sounds as if fubar
only cheap, more of a pain to fit than anything

also recommend a new seal as old will be slightly stretched and may not seal properly again, no point doing the job twice
