Northern UK dealers that like to talk turkey?

The family are contemplating dipping the toe into a new Disco 4 (probably XS) so were after any hints at local or so dealers that would consider talking turkey over prices and not just reading list out of a book verbatim.
Ps location is just outside Gateshead and the reception so far appears little more than frosty at the nearby one.
PPs I do have a trade in but its recent 08 low miler BMW 123d coupe with some farkles like leather etc.

There s only stratstone Lemington (Newcastle)
stratstone at Stoneygate (Sunderland)Its jag and Astoh Martin they do landrover i think.

Cheers for the replies but the local ones Stratstone Lemington are the ones that are quoting list and below bottom book trade so was after ones that aren't quite so rigid in their sales policy. Maybe I'm not pushing hard enough, or just deluded to think theres movement in prices these day

....
PS I always try to deal local when it works but last time I dipped into landrover I ended up at Edinburgh when again local gave that we cant be arsed feeling..

To tell the truth your probably buying at the wrong time to expect too much.

With all the snow and ice all 4x4's are in demand and many dealers know they can sell what they have. May be worth trying to hold out to spring/summer when people want drop top sports cars and 4x4's are the devil's friend

I was very happy with Farnell's in Leeds. Ordered on 30/31 October and delivered on 22 December. It was actually available on 6th December but I was on holiday. I got a very resonable PX on my XF and a decent price on the D$ HSE. PM me and I'll spill the beans.
