Not sure what card the cameras come with but will check when they re-open in the new year. Jason, not sure what effect the heated screen will have but my Tom Tom works OK when mounted on the front screen even with it heating. Will howeve ask when I speak to them in the new year, may even pop up there if I can spare the time and actually try it. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

its not really whether you'll get the outlay back from a discounted premium, its about protecting yourself if the unfortunate happens or close by an incident occurs that indirectly involves you...... then you'll get yer moneys worth
putting it in to context, to fend off possible legal actions against you OR to sue another motorist for their errors or uninsured losses against a third party would cost you around £150 per hour in legal fees

I would'nt bother informing the insurance, it would be our luck they would only pay out IF they had footage from the Blackvue.
I did initially enquire, but have'nt taken it further.

Now you put it like that - I'd be interested! Had an incident about 10 years ago when somebody hit me head on whilst I was stationery and he managed to fabricate a witness that meant i lost my no claims etc etc sounds like money well spent in that sense!!

I'm interested, how/who would I pay; I do have UK bank account. what would happen for delivery to Prague (tracking for proof, so we're all not out of pocket if lost etc).
might go for 2; 1 with GPS 1 without Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

Hi Guys
the GPS will have slight reduction in location your exact position as the metal wires in the screen will reduce the accuracy fery slightly the only real problems you have with GPS signals is with vehicles that have a metal coating to reduce heat like you see on Porsche and on some peugoet's and a few others
The Gps system on these cameras is an overlay which uses google maps and only lets you see the route you have taken when you play it back on the software so there is not really any tracking facility
If you have a prang though it automatically keeps that footage and it prevents you from editing it accidentally all the systems come with the 2 Gb card but if you want constant recording then go for the 16gb card especially if you go for the two camera version if not a 4gb would probably be fine.
cheers

Interested in the GPS version at that price
Not sure GPS is anything more useful that an added gadget, but it's a gadget
Had plenty of GPS units in the D3 over the years and no issue with the front screen. Recently had a spot GPS unit wedged at the bottom of the screen and sitting infront of the satnav display on the Tunisia trip and not a single issue with gps lock
An urban myth maybe with older GPS speed track detector units

The Blackvue is shipped from the manufactures with a 4 gb card not a 2 gb one .
If your getting them from a 3rd party supplier then they may change the card , but would have to break the security seal
I also have various gps / speed camera devices in the front and have no issues getting a signal G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
