Are you looking to bling up then??????? Maybe a chromed winch, snorkel and roof rack eh? Wink White walled MTRs could be good too.

Sorry Paul...typing the word 'blinging' did not constitute any admission of 'bling' admiration on my part...merely that there is a new product available.. Wink

Might be interested if the were powdercoated though (good idea Ken Very Happy ) ...a look a lot tougher than the plastic ones.

IMHO in some ways I think they look less bling than the black LR ones as I don't think they stand out as much as the originals.
Rears look badly designed though as one of the 'cross bars' is in completely the wrong place ie not between 2 different sections.
 Zermatt silver 06 reg.

Gone but not forgotten !!!

If someone was going to the effort of making some lamp guards, they could make them look different to the LR ones. These metal ones just look far worse. They should of done a metal mesh version. At least then they would actually do the job of protecting the lamps.

I've never suffered from a damaged headlamp, nor know anyone who has. With them being made from plastic now, I'm sure damage is extremely rare.

Still, my LR lamp guards will do their job if I drive into a floating feather or some leaves.

Would be worried with the side bars that the brackets will be bent upwards & push the bar into the sill. As below, I seem to have developed a few dings in mine! Crying or Very sad

Friend of mine fitted a set of lamp guards to his.

He reversed gently into a corner wall, heard the crunch and thought no problem guards protected the light. Wrong !!
The guards had pushed inwards and bent both sides of panels, result, no damaged lamp but £500's worth of panel damage.

My advice, don't bother.

I was in my local LR dealer this week (Hartwells, Oxford) and in the showroom they have a D3 will all the accessories fitted. On the car are large stickers highlighting the accessories and describing what they do.
For the lamp guards it said "protect your lamps from stones". Yeh right! Laughing

I have !!! With the 110, before I had the protection.

And indeed, like you say, it's plastic now, wont break as fast, but be scrached quicker.

If you drive in a "forestroad" wich is only 50% or 75% width of your DIII, than you are happy to have them...

Ofcourse, if you stay on-road......
