I've had to do that a few times too, when work (MOD airfield) run out of accomodation. OK at night (apart from the coldest), but pretty bad in mid summer trying to sleep in the day after a 13 hour night shift! Window tints are a must though Laughing

Seems pretty nuts to me, if he can't afford to live in London why not work for Yorkshire Ambulance instead???

Possibly better career prospects in a bigger service ......

or possibly the London living allowance of £4k to £6k

http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/details/Default.aspx?Id=766

But the extra travel will eat into this. I have considered similar myself but using the tintent as a base away from home.

Got to admire him, the extra mile to keep his family in the lifestyle they are at. London Ambulance pay a hell of alot more than lets say Yorkshire, he does'nt do much different to me in my LGV, but I'd rather have my Actros and Digital TV Whistle
