Admiral Multicar Insurance |
|
Hi All,
Its insurance renewal time again and i did an online quote with Admiral multicar, now i normally pay around £700 and the better half around £650 per year, but admiral are coming in at £350 for me and £300 for the misses
Not that i think this is bad, but it seems to good to be true!
I've covered all the obvious things like, both fully comp, protected no claims, excess, legal cover, and hire car, and it all the same as my existing policy, so is it too good to be true? Or is it legit?
So my question is, has anyone had any dealings with Admiral in the past or even in the present?? And are they any good?
Regards
Lee

Cheers Zac,
Everyone always says, it all comes down to what happens when you need to make a claim!
Good to now, cheers.

I have three cars with them, very cheap. When someone reversed into me they helped out with the claim even though I never put it through them. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Cheers Dave,
Just been searching here and aswell as them being cheap, i can't find anything bad about them, and there seems to be quite a few on here that insure with them.
So its looking like a and they'll be getting my busniess this year.
Just for the record my renewal with Sureteam Direct was £935.00

Was with Admiral a couple of years ago when I had the old P38, paid out instanly when some scrote put a screwdriver through my door so they could rumage through the boot, & nick my beacons, Left all my c.d's though??
Stayed with them a couple of years, then the premium shot up, looked round for requotes, ended up with exactley the same policy, from Bell. Only problem I had was transfering my no claims, apperantley, its difficult between:
Admiral Insurance, Bell,
Capital Tower, Capital Tower,
Greyfriars Road, Greyfriars Road,
Cardiff, Cardiff,
CF10 3AZ CF10 3AZ
The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

It's always worth checking with elephant.co.uk as well. It's all part of EUI group and Admiral matched elephant's internet only quote when I renewed.

I used them for a multicar which was initially cheaper, the premium suddenly shot through the roof, they wouldn't match any quotes so went with NFU Club Pie n Pea

They dont cover offroad use though - and that means Green Lanes - even if the lane is a legal byway...
thats why I ended up back with LandRover - nor do they cover repairs with original Land Rover parts. Duncan

Have Admiral multicar and only claimed on windscreen to date but have been first class and very reasonable. The reason they can cover multiple cars for not much more than a single car is that you can only drive one at a time so your risk is limited to the most expensive car on the slip. If you split the cars between policies then each one is seen a separate risk whilst Admiral see you as one risk.
Oh and never use a comparison website to close a deal as you will always get cheaper going direct and quoting the comparison number to the insurer - it saves them the £40 introducer fee.

I got a quote for a 2006 D3 HSE, a 2010 D4 HSE and a 2010 Toyota Aygo with my wife and I as the drivers
the overall quote was about £200 less per annum than seperatly insuring the D3/4 with LR and the Aygo with NFU - but the difference in policy cover was quite substantial and the non-standard fittings - ie RAI, winch, different tyres etc caused them problems so i wasnt convinced that any claim would be easy to deal with. I am with them at the minute with the D3 and my 306 GTi-6, costing about £510 all in. Done a few renewal quotes and its coming back at £1000 for both, and then £1300 with my newly awarded 4 speeding points added on!
Can't see me sticking with them unless they can sort out a proper deal!! 2014 D4 XS

It should still be cheaper than insuring all three on the three cars with three separate policies. It's surprising that no-one else has followed Admiral on this but I gather the maths behind it are apparently complex.
