Ride level control module DTC
Having just purchased my BBS FCR from Pete at Bell Autos I am impressed at what a great piece of kit it is. However it has uncovered a fault that I would appreciate some advice on. The DTC code is U0132 - 'Lost communication with ride level control module, Bus signal message failure intermittent'. Everything is working as it should but this fault seems to come back after I have cleared it?
Any ideas

It's normal to find quite a few communications errors....even more when the temperature starts dropping and maybe your battery is starting to suffer a bit (especially if it's still the original one from 2005?).
Communications errors (Uxxxx) are actually very common - especially if one ECU takes a little too long to "boot up" and doesn't send communicate a message on time.
I'm not suggesting for a minute that we should just go ignoring all DTCs without investigating a bit more, but as you'll see, communication errors are very common
I've also noticed that the suspension module flags more comms errors than any other ECU, but everything is working perfectly.
Which ECU is this DTC stored in?2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Thanks PaulP, the DTC is from the instrument pack ECU , I seem to get a few from the Hevac as well, but I also get the special programmes off for a short period on start up which I suspect is down to the battery, It is the original so its done well to last 6 years !

OK - that makes sense then....
I would bet that the comms faults would stop altogether as soon as you change the battery 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG
