Horn Sounding after bulp replacement |
|
Had to replace a headlight bulb at the weekend.
Apart from having real hard time releasing the headlight module - the slidey up things were well stuck, all went OK after that tho
Now every time I lock the car from the key fob the horn sounds.
I have slammed the bonnet many times to no effect, I have taken off the grill again and refitted.
Still no joy,
What I am doing wrong? D4 HSE - Aintree Green

do you get the "bonnet Open" message on the dash ?
just give the bonnet switch under the Right Hand Side bonnect catch a wiggle. most of the time it just needs re-seating Duncan

Came across this in another thread:
crwoody wrote:The bonnet switch is under the drivers side bonnet catch, (on a RHD car,) it's a little micro-switch moulded into a plastic housing with a springy steel bent lever on top, not an uncommon failure, cheap and easy to replace. Andrew
