Last week i had the infamous "engine system fault" followed by limp home power.This was the first time it happened and it happened while i was stood in traffic(all heaters on)about 5 mins after setting off from a cold start.Tonite it did the same again at the same place  so i was wondering could it possibly be linked to battery power??I have had no other problems and on longer runs there are no problems and it clears as soon as i turn off and on again
Only happens when
within 5 mins of a cold(>-4*) start
all heaters(seats,windows,radio,satnav,blower etc)
stood at idle for more than a couple of mins
This is what makes me think it could be voltage related,am i expecting too much of my battery/alternator and is the car that voltage dependant?? (i know my L322 was suspect when it dropped below a certain voltage).The other thing i have noticed is that the FBH wont work when this fault is active??

Update,had the car at work today and did a voltage check on the battery
Non gen banner battery with only 750cca.Started car from cold,left on tickover,everything on lights,heaters,seats etc and checked volts across terminals-13.4v,13v,12.5v and falling  ended up at 10.1v at which point the "engine system fault" came on again and into limp home mode
So £100 later and a genuine LR varta battery with 950cca and did the same test.13.8v,13v,12.7 and that was as low as it went  .Came home tonite with everything on,sat in traffic for 30 mins hardly moving and no issues at all 8)
So hopefully,problem sorted
Just got to suss the FBH now which appears to have locked out(maybe due to low voltage)
