Remote FBH triggering alarm!

On a few occasions, when using the remote FBH (these cold mornings Shocked ) the alarm has gone off - normally after 5-10 minutes of fbh operation.
My guess is that the vent fans must start up and cause a draught through the car over the alarm movement sensors?
Anyone else had this?, and any ideas on how to check which alarm sensor was triggered (so that I can close the vent causing the draught!) or how to disable the sensors? (disarming the alarm remotely helps, but leaves the doors unlocked!, and then after a minute the doors relock passively & the alarm is reset with them!)
The ideal situation would be that the fbh should automatically deactivate the interior alarm sensors when it fires up... but this is a LR...
Thanks

Mine used to do the same last winter, mentioned it to the dealer as a fault & advised to wait until after the enhancment program to see if it cleared the fault.
Not really given it anymore thought but used the FBH over the last week or so & it hasn't alarmed so I presume that it has cleared.

Thanks - my car was supposed to have had the enhancements applied at the start of March before delivery... wonder how I check if they were actually applied Idea Question as I am not near the supplying dealer & based on past experience have no great faith in the local dealership.

I've had this too twice in the last 5 days.

Patrick - what age is your car & do you know if the enhancement pack was applied? Mine was built Feb & hasn't visited a dealer since so may be a bit behind on any software fixes!

Mine is a Dec 09 car, had all the enhancements done in March/April. But my FBH is a Bell Autos activation and then my install of the remote kit.

That said it has just had its first service and no other software updates notified. I only get the alarm trigger when I have double locked and activated the full alarm system.

Last night/this morning I single locked only and then ran the FBH remotely with no triggering - so it is clearly a double locking and additional sensitivity problem with the alarm system sensors.

Mine's just done this for the second time! I also have the FBH activated by Pete Bell, but I doubt that's relevant. It had it's first service last week and nothing was picked up.

If it's only happening on double-locking, then it must be triggering one of the internal sensors. I might try pointing all of the vents downwards and see if that helps!

Dammit, it did it again at 7.30 this morning! I bet the neighbours loved me for that.

Anyone else still having this problem?

I've resorted to only single locking the car at night Shocked or remotely unlocking it then single locking with the remote before then setting the FBH by its remote - seems to resolve the issue Very Happy
Clearly with the software on my car the interior sensors must remain on when the fbh starts up - the obvious solution is for the starting of the fbh to automatically switch off the interior sensors... but does anyone know if any of the software patches deal with this?

Glad I found this thread, this has happened to me a good few times as well.

Had mine activated by Pete at BAS also.

No disrespect to Pete, but just wanted to confirm that someone has had the problem with a factory fitted option?

A good tip unlock and single lock but not much help if left somewhere where you want the double lock and is on timer...

Any updates on any software patches that have cured the problem?

United Kingdom

I had my timer module activated on my Aug 2010 model by Pete from Bell Autos. I have had the heater fire up twice every day since before Christmas, and only once has the alarm activated.

Perhaps the direction the vents are pointing may make a difference.

Best modification I have ever had done.

Mine has set off the alarm once but only when i used the key to lock the car rather than the button on the door handle
