Pirelli winter tyres bet
Just noticed that pirelli will refund 50% of 4 winter tyres bought before xmas if the temperature in Jan and feb is over 7 degrees for 30 consecutive days.
Seems to me that it's unlikely they will have to pay out but if you are buying anyway then it's prob worth registering on the off chance.

The temperature records from the Met Office are derived from hourly gridded temperature analyses. For each hour temperature observations from the Met Office network will be used to calculate the current temperature for the UK. The Met Office will calculate the average air temperature over the UK land area for each hour (by averaging the gridded reference points) and then calculate the daily average temperature for the UK. The Met Office will provide this information on a daily basis between 1st January 2011 and 28th February 2011 inclusive. The daily average temperatures will be available online at www.pirelli.co.uk/promotions. Only this data will be accepted for the purpose of this promotion.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
