I had to use the Discovery 3 jack today - and I snapped the winding handle
I was jacking up my caravan (which is not as heavy as a D3), and the oval bit of the winding handle that plugs into the extension sheared off. It seemed to break very easily, I reckon its faulty. I am going to ask the dealer for a new one tomorrow.
The only thing that could have contributed to the failure is that the caravan is very low compared to the Disco, so the jack was almost fully flattened (lowered) for the initial lift, and this meant a fair bit of effort was required to turn the bar.
