So, for the 5 or 6 times a year I go off-road, do you think it's worth it? Disco 5 HSE Lux

No, you can add.
He even went off to ask someone, because the quote was so high. Apparently I live in a very high risk area. I seem to get this treatment from everyone except my present company, so I'll be staying with them.
He did tell me that if he managed to get the quote down, he'd ring me back. I asked him if he'd get £900 off of it, and he said 'no chance, sorry for wasting your time'. Disco 5 HSE Lux

My renewal was due on Friday so last weekend I had a look around...
My renewal from Admiral was £496 but after I told them about the 5 points I picked up this year and Karen's bump into the central reservation last month (company car ), the price went up to £817.
I then got a quote from LR for £688 which they then bought down to £653.
I used confused.com and the cheapest was £374 with swiftcover (whoever they are). I had a look at their website and went to the "what we dont cover" section and off roading was in the list.
I then rang churchill because they had come in at £416 and asked about off road. Basically if the car is not on tarmac then they wouldn't pay up. Budget was the same
Before I went green laning for the first time, I contacted admiral and asked if i would be covered...they said yes but after looking into it with other insurers, it now makes me wonder if they would have paid up.
I am very pleased with LR, not the cheapest, but considering what they offer, my 5 points, Karen's 3 points and 2 claims, up to 18K miles a year (which apparently is very high for SDP) I think the extra for off road cover is worth it.
My mate uses NFU for his land rovers and tractors and gets very good deals. I had wanted to get a quote from them but the local office is only open during the week and I didn't get a chance..

You can contact NFU direct at their call centre. Number on their website.
I found the response from local NFU agents to be poor. Matt
