But the LR brand is doing very well at the moment and has had its best sales year ever. With the new Freelander out soon (LR best selling model) this can only get better. Jaguar is loosing loads of money though. It does make sence to make Jaguar a more exclusing sports car brand. Scrap the X-type and possibly the S-type. Both compete in markets where there is far too much competition and is dominated by BMW. Matt

OOps - must remember to read all the thread first!
I'd agree with Matt - LR are doing well at the moment. New models coming through which sound great, new engines for the current models etc. They're just having a bad time in the States at the moment. I don't think Ford will sell.
I hope not, anyway - I like getting my employee discount! Disco 5 HSE Lux

Jag are doing crap mainly in the US... so the septics feel they need to get rid.
If you look at their latest cars and whats coming... this will change.
LR do well and are probably part of PAG's crown jewels and thus as said above... a sweetener for any prospective buyer.
Corporate bullocks as usual.

Unfortunately, LR don't own Eastnor
LR have access to Eastnor "by kind permission".
