oily deposits from exhaust

Hello all, I have a D4 which came with the particulate filter as standard. Now, since fitting exhaust trims, the exhaust fires straight out the back instead of on the ground. When I tow my caravan the front gets splatterred with black oily deposits. I wouldn't have thought a modern diesel would do this & shouldn't the particulate filter be stopping this or is there a problem with the vehicle. The mileage is 8000.

Obviously not a cure for the exhaust smuts on the tintent, but a does a great job for us. Mostly keeps mud and stone chips off of the front due to the inadequate D3 mudflaps.

Cost is approximately £69.99 from Towequipe, well worth the money, takes about 10 minutes to fit. It comes in 4 colours, even black, so people think you are towing a Stealth. Whistle
