If that's "light panel damage" I'd hate to see their idea of something that's been in a serious impact... I can't quite work out what's happened - a bus hit the rear left quarter side on and flipped it round so the front wing slammed into the side of the now passing bus? And I like the "starts/yes, drives/yes" lines - do you think it actually goes in a straight line?!

steering wheel pic looks funny, is that the bag been deployed and now removed/ hidden so they can make it look good for the photo; also whats "Cat D" isn't that the status from insurance purposes IE whether it can be repaired and back on the road???? Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

Yeah Cat D/C means it can be repaired and put back on road but it stays on your log book that it is accident damaged repaired. Its not as easy as you think tho, cant be repaired and drive straight on road. Vehicle needs to be inspected before you can even think about driving it on road.
Cat C is usually heavy damage but repairable + Cat D is same but lesser damage.......

CAT A is to be crushed for scrap metal only
CAT B is only for breakers who will strip the vehicle and crush the shell
CAT C is insurance co. deems the repair bill to exceed (either 50% or 75%) of the cars value, but can be put back on the road after a VIC and MOT test
CAT D is insurance co. decided not to repair.

I have seen some CAT D cars bought, taken straight for an MOT without needing repaired and are back on the road same day... Shocked My D3 Build Thread
