slight aside - which insurers have been the most agreeable to a ECU remap - mine doesnt have one, but considering one, and I dont want to pick a company now that wont touch it with a remap, or try doubling the price.
Cheers

Swiftcover.
I've just insured my 07 HSE through Swiftcover and it's £270 fully comp for me and my wife. They might be worth a call. I do have an IV27 Postcode which probably makes a difference.2015 Discovery 4 HSE Corris with Blackpack

I have my my Nissan Qashqai and D3 with Admiral.
The D3 was a new addition on the multi-car policy - it cost £15.26 more per year to insure than my 2003 TD5 Disco!
I have my 1993 Defender 110 CSW with Footman James (Admiral were too dear) with full euro breakdown cover etc...
My Stag is with Peter James (Admiral could not find it on their system as the only had an Triumph Acclaim on the books!)
Our Equi-Trek Sonic Horse truck is with NFU and is fully covered for business use (only 2 other companies would cover it!)
So:
Admiral Multi-car gets another vote
Peter and Footman James get a 'worth a look'.
NFU - gets a 'possible worth a look'.

Got my D3 insured through the RAC for £265 (full no-claims protected and 60 years old may be an advantage), LR wanted £395. I expect to be shopping around next year though, as they always bang it up from year 2 onwards. Has anyone tried Saga, nice low quote for 1st year and huge increase from 2nd year. Insurance is a minefield. Run silent, run deep!! HM Submarines Conqueror, Churchill, Renown, Ocelot, Porpoise, Onslaught.

I've given up hunting on price and gone for what they offer - got fed up with finding a good price then finding holes in the small print.
Paying a bit more for it, but ended up with protected NCB, business for both of us, no mileage limit, fully comp on any car, any driver over 30 on the D4 (both useful as in-laws near by), agreed value on both D4 and BMW, european cover and breakdown included (not that I actually need it yet!), vandalism doesn't affect NCB, your choice of repairer, equivalent hire car during repairs, still get up to 4k of hire car in case of total loss, etc etc. Prev prices were about 1100 for the two separate policies (Direct Line and Adrian Flux); new price is 1290 for the two - that's with Zurich Private Clients through willis.com
