site search help

not sure which section this should be in so please move mods if needed,

so, if i'm trying to search for instructions on "removing bumper" do i type removing+bumper" into the search bar?

i\'ve tried this and get lots of pages.. should i use "" ?

going to be using lots of this in the near future now that i'll be hopefully trying to fix bits myself and fitting the winch etc etc.

so ..... +bumper +removal G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

To the right of the search box there is a link... Show keyword help Wink

For what you want, you probably want to type

+bumper +remov*


(with a space between bumper and the following +)

This will search for posts including bumper AND any words beginning remov... - so removing, removal, etc Smile

You must be doing something odd as using +bumper +removal I only get 2 pages Shocked 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

No, not using quotes.

Using my first search term:

+bumper +remov*

I get 9 pages (416 matches)

Using the second:

+bumper +removal

I get 2 pages (79 matches) 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

I get 411 matches for the first search terms and 76 for the second.

The difference is probably due to the words appearing in forums to which only the mods/admin have access too.
