floor shift assembly
hello fellow d3ers or here in canada lr3ers
i have a problem with my gear shift assembly, i have to replace it does any one have any instructions or scematics on how to do this ?
any help would be greatly appreciated,
i really just need to know how to unattach and attach shift cable to the assemblies

no its the gear selector in vehicle, a liter of coffe was spilt on it and shorted out the assembly

Right, I would take the consul cover off, and carefully clean with damp cloths, baby wipes are ideal....
Alot of the electrickery will be on the piece of consul you remove, and the mechanical side of things are easy to see on the tunel area....
To remove the cover you need to remove the screws by EPB lever, and opposite side, then start pulling at the lip of the cover at approx where the Terrain Repsonse knob is on either side..............it takes a hell of alot of pulling for the clips to let go.....then follow the trim forward once they start to pop.

I did, for the life of me cannot remember. It's tight and there is a clip by recolection.......

thanks macleod, is there any one who has experence with this i have to replace the floor shift assembly but need to know how to disconnect and connect the shift cable to the assembly
