Another odd noise

Hi All,
New noise this week; sees to be coming from the rear of the car, can only describe it as sounding a bit like a fridge or freezer! Seems to be from the drivetrain as goes when I stop. Loudest at lower speeds. Had new discs and pads about 4000 miles ago.. Any ideas would be appreciated Rolling Eyes

Air compressor or fuel pump Rolling Eyes

If it sounds like a fridge, this suggest an electric motor/pump and this can only be the air compressor (just in front of the NS rear wheel, of the in tank fuel pump (OS in front or rear wheel)

Unless you have rear air con, but that would be an 'inside rear off side' noise !!!

Apart from that - dunno Rolling Eyes

sorry to hijack the thread but i had a funny squeaking noise coming from left exterior side the other day - cant figure out if it was from engine or not but stopped after i drove for about 5 mins. could this be engine warming up or something - it was about 9 degrees outside at the time. will have to see if its there again...
