Drivers Seat - Electrically Operated

Am I the first to experience this fault?

Whilst driving the seat back reclines in small incriments, of its own accord! Shocked

It also moves slightly when the ignition key is turned off. The actual seat switch will not recline the seat and has to be operated several times to raise the seat back in small incriments.

Went to the dealer today who said they could not look at unil 14/08/2006 because as I required it collected they would have to allocate a courtesy car to carry out the collection even if I didn't want to use the car.

Yes I have had a similar problem.

The seat adjusts forward over a long distance.
Also adjusts when the car is unlocked, seems to go to a set position not the one set by the key or memory.

Has been like that for 18 months no resolution from Landrover.

errr... well it's only two out of *lots* so based upon Disco3 membership, thats 0.157% (so far) which doesn't really constitute wholesale condemnation - however annoying / distressing / painful it is to those with the problem ...... that's the trouble with internet forums, everyone applies the polynesian method of counting to determine the likelyhood of problems

One Confused
two Shocked
lots Thud Big Cry

i've had lazy entry on and but I'm too lazy to work out where it gets it's settings from as the mirrors and seat are different to anything stored in memory 1,2 or 3 so I've switched it off... seems to have worked.

Not had any phantom seat movements though.

Maybe you have the "haunted" special edition, say no more or we will all want one Wink
