I think our D3 has the BAS remap and it billows out black smoke on hard acceleration and smokes quite noticably when under any throttle load. Does anyone know if the map can be tweaked at all to lessen the smokeage?

I have the Turbochips remap, good power & torque with no extra smoke.
Of course if the car has been driven by Miss Daisy for a couple of weeks around town then a few black clouds ensue when a give it the first few hard accelerations. She just likes to clear her lungs once in a while... especially in front of BMW convertible drivers...

Of course it can it should have not been left this long if you were having problems exessive smoke under normal load, the email address to get this sorted is on the rear of the bas box also attach your original and tuned files
Their is possibile some LR updates for your car.

TR wanna get rid off black smoke give the car a clean with 350ml of 2T oil FD rating semi synthetic or mineral and it would be fine
mine used to smoke extensively with default CCF stopped for a while while on BAS econo map and now smokes a bit again but only when booting the car over 2700 roms been to dealers on many occasions and nothing been found....

Only had the car two weeks it came mapped, whats a bas box ? What files? I think it's a BAS remap I could be wrong.
Previous owner is on here I can PM him if I need to get updates.

Ahh ok i didnt realise that , get the previous to call me and we can adjust it. tbh as said it should have been done but for some reason wasnt. It may have been an on going developement sort of tune that slipped their mind.
