| Test drove 2010 D4 and 2010 RRS |
|
I test drove a 2010 RRS and 2010 D4 at the local dealers yesterday. My initial impressions:
- D4 had a quicker response on throttle compared to RRS. Salesperson confirmed that he's heard 5 others say the same
- D4's center of gravity seems lower, doesn't bend over like my D3 in corners as much
- D4's new interior is so much more upscale than my D3 it's hard to compare the two (2)
- D4's new v8 petrol engine makes the vehicle feel like it weighs half of my D3
- RRS cargo area is much smaller than I anticipated, I never had a look back there before it must be half the size of a D3/D4
- RRS headroom is lacking. I assume that with the internal sunroof it inhibits the headroom a bit, I'm 6'4" and I felt like if I hit a huge bump in the road my head would smash against the ceiling.
- The RRS cockpit and driving position I felt was superior to the D4 aside from the headroom
- RRS I drove was a stornway gray, which complimented the rear light borders (which happen to be gray) nicely
- D4 I drove was impanema sand, what a great color. If I purchase a D4 I will consider it.
Impressed with both 2010 RRS and D4 model year updates  16 D4 Landmark

Given the headroom issue it would eliminate the RRS. 16 D4 Landmark
