thanks for all the advice.
Negotiations are going on over the D3 I am interested in. Things are a bit tight financially and I can't afford it if it will cost huge amounts in repairs. Anyway if the deal is good I'll go with it, but although it is an amazing motor I won't be ditching my faithful D2 unless its a cracking deal.
We shall see......Tony

Rugged, if its lr approved i think you should get 12 months warranty, if its just a dealer you may get 3,6, or 12 if your lucky, then get an after market warranty, several out there, there's one of the site supporters do em or wd or now rac they seem well priced,
as soon as mine is out of manufacturer warranty i will get a third party one, prob rac based on price at the moment.
Like other I had a few D2's, the only areas that they are better IMHO are the heater and hand brake which work, apart form that the D3 is light years ahead.

D2 is in the doghouse as auto died at weekend.
Pick up D3 this Friday
Will let you all know the Paypal account I set up so all those who convinced me into getting a D3 can contribute to the running costs!
Thanks for all the advice. Tony
