Hi guys,
just had my car in for a leak test on the air con unit as its been filled twice by kwik fit and twice it has failed.
The guy said its defo the condenser that has gone and he showed me the leak with the uv light.
question is now, how much is a new condenser, does it have a part no?
can i fit this myself?, if so how long will it take me and is it easy?
what would it cost for an independan do it all ?? any recommendations??
many hanx in advance

condensors are aluminium and a d3 condenser from ff is £85 and a regass is about £45 and labour approx £35 per hr, dont know how long to fit.

was thinking that maybe could be welded, but at that price hardly seems worth it

You can attempt a repair but they do not usually last long. Then you have to pay for entire procedure again so a repair is false economy.
