Poor cranking
My G4 has over the last month or so got slower and slower at cranking over. Assuming it was the battery, I called LR assistance out last week when it failed to start. The battery was fine. They said possible starter problem.
Its ok when the engine is cold, but when you try and start it after its hot (motorway services yesterday, took 5 gos and 10 mins before it started) it can be hit and miss.
Any ideas?
Booked in on monday with local landrover dealer, but I dont want them coming back saying there is nothing wrong with it.

Does it sound as if the starter is turning the engine over slowly or fast when its hot?
I am thinking you might have a bad electrical connection somewhere, are the battery terminals tight
Could be a load of different things, just to cheer you up

Cheers, when its hot it turns over very slowly. Sometimes it clicks and stops turning, just like a flat battery. Anyway, looks like its the starter its a 2008 model.
Thanks
