Ah I get it, you mean a 'chip' tune. I thought you were after the latest update from LR, of course you should have that already.

I'd give it a good few thousand and get used to it as it is (engine doesn't loosen up until at least 5000) then you should appreciate the difference a lot more when/if you get it done.
This would also give you a chance to identify any potential issues with the car and know for sure they're not due to the remap

I waited until c.3500miles, before paying a visit to Mr T.C Couldn't wait any longer. Had the unmentionable air filter fitted at the same time.
The difference is very noticeable, makes for a safer vehicle IMO.

In my opinion, the car works fine as it is.

- mind you I've never driven a chipped one!

Had mine TC'd at about 9500 miles. I tow a 1900Kg caravan and felt that the extra torque would be really useful. Was also hoping for a few more mpg when towing.

Trouble is, the day after I had it TC'd, I had to take the car in to the dealers to have a faulty door lock repaired. They didn't repair the lock (needs a new one but nil stock) but they did do the sotware enhancement programme, meaning that they reprogrammed the ECU (amongst other things) wiping out my TC upgrade. I got to enjoy the extra power for all of 1 hour Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

That was 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for Nick from TC to come and re-flash the ecu. I'm still waiting for the bloody door lock too Banging Head

The unmentionable air filter is on order and should arrive tomorrow!!
Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile
