Ipod connectivity in Disco 4 |
|
Not sure if anyone has had any issues with the sound coming through from the ipod connection in the centre console but I really think I either have a dodgy cable or the new sound system in the xs is just really
I would be interested in finding out if anyone else has had similar issues.

My ipod touch works very well in my XS - sound quality is good.
Just a shame it doesn't charge..... 2016 D4 Landmark - Waitomo/Ebony
2012 D4 HSE - Orkney/Almond - gone
2009 D4 XS - Buckingham/Ebony - gone

have you not tried using the USB connector slot ?
i can't anymore see a reason to have an ipod in the car. You can have as much music on say an 8gb usdb pen and it it's lost or heaven forbid car broken into it's oennies to replace, and with the ipod you have to keep remembering to remove it
Oh, and th D4 sound system over the stereo is superb...could it be the compression you have the tunes stored ? TLO has left the building.......

Sound system in my HSE is fantastic - including via the iPod. Very pleased with it. Not tried the USB option. Paul

Hi new to this. I have a disco 4 GS on order. Does anyone have any idea of other ways of getting ipod or USB into the car direct without the AUX input?? 350miles and cant wait to do more.

Im pushing the wallet as it is to have a new DISCO in the first place but have fallen in love with the 4. If i could have afforded it i would have done. I assume some of the radio control unit is the same though as it uses the same dash controls?!?!? 350miles and cant wait to do more.

The Portable Audio Interface provides this, if its an allowed option.

It isn't an option on the GS - hence my earlier post.

I have tried a usb stick and the sound is great. Good point about the compression large One, I will have a look, failing that I reckon it could be a cable! Hopefully a quick fix which I am sure it will be.

Sound from iPod is very good (Elgar's Cello Concerto on the way down the M23 this morning, Scissors Sisters on the way home!) Shame about the complete absence of volume on about 2 in 3 received phone calls however...

Recently got an LR4. The USB is a bit dodgy with my Sansa Fuze, sometimes it comes up, sometimes not.
So I tried my wife's iPod Touch and I consistently get "Device Error" when connecting it. Any ideas why the iPod doesn't work?? It works just fine in my wife's Infiniti.
