iPhone 3 GS

Having checked out the bluetooth phone compatibility list on the LR site it appears that the Apple 3G iphones are supported but that the 3GS will not receive incoming calls. Has anyone experience with a 3GS to confirm if they now work or not?

Doesn't work consistently. When it doesn't work, the controls are fine for picking up the call but the sound is not routed to the speakers so you can't hear the caller. They seem to be able to hear me though although I'm not sure if that is the phone or car microphone.

My 3GS works fine - both for making and receiving calls using phone or buttons in car.

My wife's 3G also works great - occasionally we have to repair one of the phones with the kit in car as it sometimes gets confused as to which one is paired.

Also worth mentioning that my Bluetooth module is upgraded to the latest firmware by the dealer.

Cheers,
Rob.

iPhone 3GS is 'NOT RECOMMENDED' for D4 and is not yet fully compatible. So its a case of try it and see how you get on.

When I moved from MY06 D3 (nokia bluetooth) to MY09D3 (FoMoCo bluetooth) My 3GS stopped receiving incoming calls properly, exactly as WH Smiths says. Waiting for LR to do a software upgrade Rolling Eyes

I have found that when making calls using the Disco's screen or steering wheel buttons mine works perfectly. If I answer incoming calls via the screen or the steering wheel button the call is routed to the phone earpiece Sad however if I answer the incoming call on the phone (i.e. slide to answer) the call is effectively routed to the car bluetooth facility. Smile .... there is a slight delay but it handles the call perfectly. Thumbs Up
Discovery 4 the greatest 4wd on the planet. LandRover the worst customer service imaginable. Do you have to put up with one to experience the other? Apparently yes!!!!
