I do know what you mean, but it was a p**s poor battle & not one I'd be proud to show off about.
One of the "joys" of black car ownership, 3 of our cars are black, is that even a plastic scratch sticks out like a sore thumb.

This type of thing is what I do, I think that most smart repair companies could sort this out for you for around, £25 to £35 and the end result will be fine.
Don't just call CXXXSXXXY as there are lots of independent smaller companies that are probably better than the large franchised one's, as for the warranty thing, I don't give a warranty, but my word that if there is a problem, then we will sort it out no questions.

davesimmons, I'd love to have you fix the mirror cover, but I imagine you don't work in the Bath/Bristol area & I rarely come oop North.
I have lots of motor trade contacts & have sussed out someone already, he has done some paint work for me in the past, but I didn't realise he also repaired plastic.
