Yes ...Martin put some interesting figures on comparing the real eco friendliness of hundreds of motors
Prius estimated lifespan = 11 years or 110,000 miles (yes that is right) whole battery system requires replacing after that.
Disco 3 expected lifespan 16.5 years or 175,000 miles
These are average estimates21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

well that's hardly consistent with their lack of enviromental impact is it? park thousands of the things (presumably the ones they can't sell / asda don't stock batteries for) on perfectly good arable land
I mean, FFS, I'm sure the land could be better used for providing single parent housing ghetto's or sumfink

Yeah, watched it.
And i am so glad that i've ordered a disco3, especially after it said that 4x4 are more DANGROUS to other road users, which they then get a safty expert to illustrate that when a 4x4 hit another car from the side, the passenger's head is more likely to bounce off the bumper of the 4x4 , now who would want to get a smaller and lower seating car then after watching that...
Hopefully the smaller car would be a Toyota P..Pr..
No can't say it!
Personally I think these electric cars are more dangerous because you can't hear the b y things coming!Loving the power of the TDV8!

This is all down to the same reason that people say those that ride horses are stuck up. Because a 4x4 is taller you look down on people, the same as when you are on horse back, this creates an impression of arrogance. So your ban the bomb, ban hunting gang have a new target to attack that they feel are toffs. They hide under the environmental bit but it comes down to the fact they feel they are being looked down on. Been there, done that and they are all quite boring (where's the yawning emoticon when you need it)DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Just imagine how much energy would be saved if everybody switched off their TVs and never switched them on again................... then nobody would have to worry about getting their message out on a peak viewing time TV slot. Greenpeace would still find something to whinge about but nobody would be watching! I rarely hear them being interviewed on the radio - and since the Clerkson/ Mombio comedy act a couple of years ago I haven't heard George Mombio being interviewed by anybody.................Now a disillusioned new Land Rover buyer and have jumped ship to something less expensive and more reliable that hugs trees.... now driving a Mini Countryman PHEV as well as my trusty and brilliant 1996 Epsom Green Defender90 Tdi300

I got so concerned about my CO2 emissions, that on the way into work this morning, I shot a cow. Not only am I now Carbon Neutral, but I've got steaks and beefburgers for the next few months! Plus think of all the O2 that will be produced by the grass that's been saved from being eaten.
Gentlemen; to the gun cabinet!
