The Puma (transit engine) isn't a bad lump. Not sure which version/s they'll use as it comes in 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4.

As for the Euro IV, I've heard the 3.0 TDV6 is way off yet. There is emission work being done on the 2.7 due sooner....

European emission regulations that vehicle manufacturers have to meet. There are different levels set at various points in the future to allow manufacturers to meet the regulations. Euro IV is due in January 2007.

Also heard that with the way the emission regulations are going, diesel engines may become too expensive to be viable. Manufacturers are expecting a big swing back to petrol in 10-15 years time.

Oh that's just brilliant that is Sad

Are they going to bring down the cost to offset the serious reduction in MPG, not to mention the huge hike in road tax we'll have to pay for a 4.0 ltr (or whatever) engine. It's bad enough paying over a grand a year for the 2.7TDv6 Evil or Very Mad
