The Puma (transit engine) isn't a bad lump. Not sure which version/s they'll use as it comes in 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4.
As for the Euro IV, I've heard the 3.0 TDV6 is way off yet. There is emission work being done on the 2.7 due sooner....Disco 5 HSE Lux

European emission regulations that vehicle manufacturers have to meet. There are different levels set at various points in the future to allow manufacturers to meet the regulations. Euro IV is due in January 2007.Disco 5 HSE Lux

Also heard that with the way the emission regulations are going, diesel engines may become too expensive to be viable. Manufacturers are expecting a big swing back to petrol in 10-15 years time.Disco 5 HSE Lux

Oh that's just brilliant that is
Are they going to bring down the cost to offset the serious reduction in MPG, not to mention the huge hike in road tax we'll have to pay for a 4.0 ltr (or whatever) engine. It's bad enough paying over a grand a year for the 2.7TDv6

The 2.4 is mooted for the Defender 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
