Changed wheels and now suspension rises slowly |
|
I had my wheels changed today and now the suspension takes forever to raise. The suspension height was in "off road" when they were changed, so not sure what has happened. If anyone can advise me what the problem may be, I would appreciate it. It was working fine before hand.

Did they jack it on the compressor cover? Common problem as it looks rather like the jacking point..... I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Compressor cover looks untouched. They jacked it with both back wheels up, then both front wheels.

Thats how my local tyre place does it.
Are you sure they did not dislodge anything ?
Maybe going into extended mode (it likely did do) has not exposed an issue that was already there ?

Thanks Simon. Will have a look in the morning to see if I can spot anything.

It could be that the two lifts into presumably extended mode to change the front and rear wheels depleted the air reservoir.
Take it for a half hour drive to let the compressor refill the reservoir and see if that cures it. I suspect it will

Glad it was simple
The reservoir, I was reading on here recently, holds enough air to raise the vehicle from access height to off-road height two times (fewer I suspect if going to extended mode). After that, until the compressor has time to refill the reservoir, the "vehicle raising slowly" message will usually appear.
